7.1 GDPR Compliance Mode
Our GDPR Compliance Mode provides comprehensive data protection in accordance with EU regulations. When enabled:
Permanent Data Deletion: Your Steam avatar, display name, Discord avatar (if linked), and all other personally identifiable information is immediately and permanently deleted from our database
No Backup Storage: In compliance with GDPR Article 17 (Right to Erasure), we do not maintain any backups of your deleted personal information
Anonymization: All personal identifiers are replaced with "Private" or generic placeholders across the entire platform
Steam64 ID Hashing: Your Steam64 ID is replaced with a one-way cryptographic hash (SHA-256 with secret salt) that cannot be reverse-engineered
Vote Sanitization: Any votes where you appear as the target player have PII fields anonymized, including tags and associated metadata
Comment Anonymization: Your username and text in comments you've posted are replaced with generic identifiers
External Link Blocking: Links to your Steam profile, Leetify, and FACEIT are completely hidden from public view
Profile Accessibility: After enabling GDPR Mode, your profile may remain accessible via existing links, shortcuts, or searches, but all personal identifiers are anonymized and hidden. This ensures platform functionality while complying with your erasure request.
Statistics Preserved: Your game statistics and performance metrics remain intact and continue to update normally
Irreversible Process: Data cannot be restored after GDPR mode is enabled. To restore your information, you must refresh your Steam data, which fetches current public information from Steam API
Database-Level Protection: Multiple layers of checks prevent repopulation of your data from external sources (Steam API, FACEIT API, Leetify API)
7.2 Private CSCheck Profile
This privacy setting allows you to hide your CSCheck-specific information without deleting it:
Hides your profile from public searches and search results
Your personal information is NOT deleted (unlike GDPR mode)
Steam profile stats, K/D ratio, and matches remain visible if someone has a direct link
Your votes and comments remain visible on the platform
Can be toggled on/off without data loss
7.3 Hidden Profile (Moderator-Only)
In exceptional circumstances, moderators may set your profile to "Hidden" status:
Completely hides your profile from all public searches and leaderboards
Prevents new votes from being submitted against you
This setting takes precedence over GDPR mode and Private profile
Only used in cases of harassment, doxxing, or other exceptional circumstances
Can only be set or removed by platform moderators
